Turning Back The Clock On Your Skin
Audrey Russo

Every woman, at one point, would love to turn the hands of time back on her face…well here are a few Do’s (the Don’ts next week) to help you peel off those years:

Do’s:
Do stop smoking. The skin of a lifelong smoker can appear wrinkly like a compressed paper bag. The bottom line, smoking is the 2nd major cause of skin damage following sun exposure. The reason is nicotine constricts blood vessels & decreases the flow of oxygen to the skin. Terrible for your skin.

Do
use an AHA or BHA (also known as retinols) every day. A daily application of a 1% prescription retinoid lotion (such as Retin-A or even better, Tazorac) can erase years from your face. AHAs, when used properly, not only take off lots of dead skin, but can appear to take 10 years off as well by reducing fine lines.

Do
exfoliate once a week. Choose a formulation that's best for your skin type. Chemical exfoliators (glycolic or salicylic acid) are ideal for oily or combo skin, while scrubs found in microdermabrasives work the best for sensitive skin.

Do
use an eye cream daily. Eyes are one of the first places to show aging. The skin around the eyes is extra thin so you'll want to protect it from the sun with eye cream with SPF. One I found to be great for the delicate skin around the eye area is Mineral Line’s Anti Wrinkle Eye Cream with Aloe Vera…straight from Israel…chock full of Dead Sea minerals, aloe vera extract and various vitamins. It lasts all day…really!

Do invest & ingest antioxidants. 'Antioxidants' is a huge word in aging prevention. Antioxidants found in green teas & beta carotene and in vitamin C & E…protect against free-radical damage, which causes wrinkles.

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING
"Thank you, Sharon, for the role in which you provide a platform for Troops, as well as us Veterans, to be able to "Voice"; by allowing us to be part of something bigger than ourselves in making a difference in society and in our world. Again, Thank You." -Yolanda Jones, OIF Veteran & author of Scarred, But Not Broken"

"It is great that America has been able to help so many other nations. It has been able to do so because it was first taking care of its own families and citizens. Now, in a time where we are facing an economic crisis, it is time to once again look at investing in America, so it can continue to help others as well. Thank you Sharon for showing ways Americans can support America during its time of weakness." -Scott Brown
