No, because it's a pattern. Remember two year's ago at the conference in Bali? Here's what I wrote then:
Noel Sheppard over at NewsBusters reported on the dilemma the large number of private charter airplanes going to the UN Conference on Climate Change on December 3-15 is causing for the small Bali airport:
"As climate alarmists from all over the world head to Bali to talk about the sacrifices regular folks have to make to save the planet from global warming, it seems certain media will ignore all the private jets clogging the tiny airport. As if it’s not enough that the United Nations Climate Change Conference is being held at what NewsBusters reported as "a truly beautiful tropical island paradise," the management of the nearby airport has issued a warning to attendees that they are going to have to park their private jets somewhere else. I kid you not. Talk about your really inconvenient truths."
Bali Discovery Tours reported on November 3rd:
Tempo Interaktif reports that Angkasa Pura - the management of Bali's Ngurah Rai International Airport are concerned that the large number of additional private charter flights expected in Bali during the UN Conference on Climate Change (UNFCCC) December 3-15, 2007, will exceed the carrying capacity of apron areas. To meet the added demand for aircraft storage officials are allocating "parking space" at other airports in Indonesia. The operational manager for Bali's Airport, Azjar Effendi, says his 3 parking areas can only accommodate 15 planes, which means that some of the jets used by VIP delegations will only be allowed to disembark and embark their planes in Bali with parking provided at airports in Surabaya, Lombok, Jakarta and Makassar.
Say Anything Blog added:
"Obviously the only way to really get the feel for global warming is to sit in the sun drinking rum drinks so I can see why the UN had to fly everyone to Bali. As Glenn Reynolds said, “I’ll believe it’s a crisis when the people who tell me it’s a crisis start acting like it’s a crisis.” Exactly, if this were a crisis they could find a more central location (like North Dakota), fly in on commercial planes or actually hold regional meetings and teleconference to give it worldwide scope. But this global warming thing is the UN jumping in on the bandwagon to create a profit for their leadership. I just wish that the US news organizations would quit treating the UN like they are the final arbiters of what’s right. They’re a good gauge of that, but only if you assume they’re saying the wrong thing.
#1 Climategate - which has been exposed that global warming scientists have been cooking the books, ie falsifying data to 'prove' there is man-made global warming. This is the biggest science-scam in all history! And Obama's Science Czar, John Holdren, is linked to Climategate, that has scientists scrambling ever since information was leaked to the press from emails between fellow scientists caught falsifying data.
#2 As The Heritage Foundation reports: "Despite the fact that the entire conference is founded on the belief that human economic activity, especially flying and driving, is emitting levels of greenhouse gasses that will soon kill us all, plutocrats from around the world have marshaled over 1,200 limos and 140 private planes to travel to and around Copenhagen over the next two weeks."
(Now we know why global-warming enthusists like Al Gore don't practice what they preach -- because it's not true!)
And just for the record: according to U.N.'s own data, between 2000 and 2006, the 27 European signatories of the Kyoto Treaty requiring them to decrease greenhouse emissions, actually increased their emissions by 0.1%. Canada saw a 21.3% emissions rise! Meanwhile, the (big-bad) U.S., which was not bound by the treaty since the U.S. Senate voted 95-0 against the treaty, actually reduced our emissions by 3% over the same time period!
We talked about this on the show and about Science Czar, John Holdren's, involvement. Wait to you hear how he thinks "redistribution" should work, which you can listen to online now here:
Climategate & Science Czar John Holdren
Have you noticed that the liberal left keeps someone in their cross hairs at all times? They are like the bully on the playground who always has to make a spectacle out of the kid least likely to fight back. Their tactics are the same; isolate, belittle, degrade.
Take David Letterman for example, once a funny young man, now an obviously bitter old man trying to keep his ratings up with political jokes, by vilification of the President of the United States. With republicans out of office, that’s no longer in vogue. So he looks around the playground and targets the new girl--Sarah Palin (and her daughter). The Letterman assault is a perfect example of how liberals attack and destroy--with a smile.
At long last, after public outrage, last week Letterman issued his apology--and it is accepted. May I point out that it took two tries? The first round, Palin didn’t buy it--and rightfully so. It was a sorry excuse for an apology. By deflecting criticism in saying that his “joke” was not about her 14 year-old daughter, instead it was her 18 year-old daughter shows he is completely oblivious to the fact that her daughters, at any age, should never be target of crude sexual jokes.
Tina Brown, of The Daily Beast wrote a piece titled, What Hillary Can Teach Sarah Palin. Ms. Brown joins Letterman as a classroom example of how those in liberal media/entertainment expose their belief system--and impose it.
Brown wrote of her observance of Melanne Verveer being sworn in by Hillary Clinton as “ambassador at large for global women's issues.” She writes, “Standing in the grand Benjamin Franklin Rooms amidst a sea of some 400 animated guests—most of them unostentatious women of stature and purpose…I felt someone should pluck the combustible Alaskan away from whatever rancid talk show she was headed for and make her watch a vignette of what real female power looks like.”
Aside from the slight by implicating that Palin has been on a round of talk shows, (and this is a bad thing) which she hasn’t, the “make her watch a vignette of what real female power looks like” comment is an astounding display of arrogance.
First of all, Sarah Palin is the Governor of Alaska. She was chosen as a presidential running mate in the Republican Party. I don’t know of Hillary rising on her own to anything other than Senator of New York. Even there, Ms. Clinton rode into politics on her husband’s coattails. The very definition of what feminists detest. There is a difference between powerful women and power hungry women.
Brown goes on to write, “The scene was a great snapshot of two battle-tested empty nesters, both handsome blown-out blondes in their early 60s, both wearing consummately safe alpha-female pantsuits, (Hillary in self-possessed powder blue, her new ambassador in respectful grey)…”
“Self-possessed powered blue” and “respectful grey.” Rare colors obviously found only in “alpha-female pantsuits.” Not available where Sarah Palin rented her wardrobe for the campaign trail--now returned.
Brown continues, “Does anyone believe that Palin really, truly thought Letterman’s sexual joke was about her 14-year-old daughter, Willow, not her 18-year-old, Bristol...?”
Why would anyone think any different? He didn’t name her, but it was said about the daughter that was with her at the ball game—thus Willow.
“Letterman’s joke may not have been his finest hour, but at least he swiftly apologized. Meanwhile, the nation’s hockey mom scores another goal for intellectual dishonesty.”
The truth is he did not swiftly apologize. It took two tries, and a public pounding.
Notice, that when a conservative is offended at crude jokes its “intellectual dishonesty”?
She winds up her column with this advice to Mrs. Palin, “Take a leaf out of Hillary’s book, Sarah. … Study up—and shut up. If you were a real power woman, we wouldn’t be hearing from you right now, so soon after your vice presidential flameout. You’d be too busy preparing yourself for the day when you have something to say worth hearing."
My advice to Tina Brown; turn off the old “I am woman… hear me roar” record, it’s worn out.
What both Brown and Clinton can learn from Sarah Palin is that “real female” power doesn’t have to look nor act like a man. It does not destroy life, it creates and protects it.
A few years ago I wrote about Al Gore's criticism of George W. Bush's faith. I found it so fascinating then that a former Vice President of the United States would condemn a current President's religious belief.
What are we to make of this? Or should we make anything of it at all?
Here's what I wrote about Gore and Bush's faith:
I remember years ago seeing Al Gore on television promoting his book, Earth in the Balance - Ecology and the Human Spirit, and Tipper talking about her concern of the effects rock and roll music was having on teenagers. Back then, before he was Vice President, they talked about themselves as being born again Southern Baptist Christians. However, after reading Al Gore's comments in the New Yorker magazine about George W. Bush's faith, it appears things have changed.
As reported by David Remnick in the article, "And yet the Bush ideology is tinged with religious belief, I said. Not everything comes with a price tag attached. Gore’s mouth tightened...he clearly had disdain for Bush’s public kind of faith. 'It’s a particular kind of religiosity,' he said. 'It’s the American version of the same fundamentalist impulse that we see in Saudi Arabia, in Kashmir...'" Read more of Remnick's article.
Wow.
Remnick goes on to report, "We passed the Southern Baptist Convention building... I asked him which church in Nashville he and Tipper attended now. There was a pause in the front seat. 'We’re ecumenical now,' Gore said, finally. Tipper said with a laugh, 'I think I follow Baba Ram Dass.' 'The influx of fundamentalist preachers have pretty much chased us out with their right-wing politics,' Gore added."
But, I wonder if it was the right-wing politics, or his own politics. In his book, Earth in the Balance - Ecology and the Human Spirit, again written when he claimed the Christian faith, he wrote this: "Our religious heritage is based on a single earth goddess (Mother Gaia) who is assumed to be the fountain of all life...All men have a god within. Each man has a god within because creation is god. Nature in its fullness is god."
Then again, perhaps he has commented on Obama's faith and the media just didn't report it. If that's the case, why would that be? I mean, it's not like the mainstream media doesn't report 'positive' remarks about presidents and religion. After all they reported Chris Matthews' comments, "I've been following politics since I was about 5. I've never seen anything like this. This is bigger than Kennedy. [Obama] comes along, and he seems to have the answers. This is the New Testament..."
Can you see my tongue in my cheek?
Reporting on the President's new book deal, " Decision Points,” Olbermann said,
"I am told he gets $7 million for his life's accomplishments in book form. So, the book is five pages long?"
Few are surprised by the left-leaning 'reporting' by MSNBC hosts, of which Keith Olbermann gets the 'best' award for, but what's the point of bashing Bush about his book, now?
To display what mean-spirited looks like? To improve ratings? (Certainly hasn't worked up to now). To solidfy support for Obama? Whatever the reason, it certainly is not good or authentic journalism.
When Hillary Clinton got $8 for her book, "Living History," and Bill Clinton $12 for his book, "My Life", no such statements were made by Olbermann. To the contrary. (Although he was critical of Hillary during the 2008 presidential campaign on several occasions, and not because he was supporting John McCain!)
Long gone are the television anchors who just reported the news...on NBC.
We reported many times leading up to the 2008 presidential election about the emergence of the religious political left, and their efforts to redefine 'evangelical' and specifically, 'pro-life.'
The Matthew 25 Network, one of the religious left's efforts to elect Barack Obama, came out with the "Pro-Life Obama.com" website, which at the time I said:
"There are few things that surprise me any more, but I have to admit, when I read that a website had been launched entitled 'ProLife Obama' I could hardly believe it. How could such a claim be made? By redefining the pro-life cause.
"Why? Because Barack Obama is one of the most liberal Senators, and one of the most radical in his pro-abortion stance. He has said (promising Planned Parenthood) that the first thing he will do upon being election President is to pass the Freedom of Choice Act, which would virtually wipe out all current restrictions surrounding abortion.
"A product of the Matthew 25 Project, this new pro-Obama website claims that, if elected president, Obama would "drastically reduce abortion" and "promote life with dignity for all from the beginning of life to the end." But how would he do this? Certainly not by appointing culture of life judges.
"Prolifeproobama.com is the product of the the same 527 group that created radio ads this summer aimed at Christian radio stations."
Well, just for the record, as you can see they are very happy with Obama's win.
One of their themes is "Choosing Hope over Fear for 2,000 Years."
But then, what is their definiation of Hope?
And what do they mean "for 2,000 years"?
Does this association with Obama make you feel just a little uncomfortable?
It should.
Carl Cameron of FOX News reporting for the O'Reilly Factor took the low road yesterday in repeating rumors and gossip from unnamed staffers in the McCain camp about Sarah Palin: her knowledge, temperament, being a shopoholic, etc.
In failing to mention the names of the accusers, or input from staffers who disagree with the rumors, Cameron failed the 'fair and balanced' creed of FOX News. Plus Cameron's somewhat fevered manner in repeating the rumors, was not only surprising, but showed his lack of objectivity.
If I could be candid for a moment: Inside fighting is all to common in campaigns, I know. When my husband, Duane, ran for U.S. Congress and lost the last time we experienced the same thing from one person on his staff who, instead of pulling 100% with the candidate, turned and created dissent in the camp. The things said were untrue, and were the fruit of those who couldn't handle losing well. How do we know that this is not what is happening with these few (how many are they? we don't know, could be one instigator) McCain staffers?
The most popular Governor in the United States with an 80% approval rating in her own state of Alaska, continues to be portrayed negatively by the media. Perhaps it will be found that one of more of these nameless cowards in the McCain camp were plants, or idealogues who took the job but ended up sabotoging the effort, ie the handling of Palin with the press. Time will tell if 'fair and balanced' reporters will investigate.
We are down to the wire of this election. The polls show McCain is closing fast. Pew poll has him up 46% to Obama 45% amongst 'likely voters'.
Who will Americans pick? What will they vote for? The American Dream or Marx's Dream of redistribution of wealth?
The truth is that Barack Obama is not your father's Democrat.
Consider: John F. Kennedy, "Ask not what your country can do for YOU, but ask what you can do for your country."
Barack Obama's political philosophy is the exact opposite: ask what your country can do for you.
Consider: the economy will recover, but aborted babies won't.
The facts:
1.2 million US soldiers killed in all wars combined.
1.2 million babies aborted every year.
2,974 people died in the terrorist attacks of 9/11/2001
At least 3,300 babies cease to live each day from abortion
Every 12 minutes there is a fatal car crash
Twice per minute a baby is fatally injured during an abortion.
The voting records and promises of John McCain andBarack Obama on the abortion are clear. (click on links to hear them in their own words).
Will America vote for the human rights of babies in this election? Yes, if voters remember...
The economy will recover, but aborted babies definately will not.
We need to consider these important facts before we vote.

Chris Wallace uncharacteristically gave Barack Obama's Chief Strategist, David Axelrod, carte blanche during his interview today on FOX News Sunday.
Failing to challenge Axelrod's avoidance in answering questions directly over and over again, and allowing him to go on and on with the standard Obama talking points, was strikingly different than the treatment Wallace gave to John McCain's Campaign Manager, Rick Davis, who he continually interrupted to challenge, sometimes even argued with, such as regarding when the McCain campaign was going to 'allow' Sarah Palin to be interviewed by the media.
And on Saturday's Beltway Boys, Morte Kondracke referred to Palin, McCain's VP running mate, as "that Wacko Right-winger". So much for 'fair and balanced' from the liberals at FOX News.
Alaska's Governor, Sarah Palin, the hockey mom with lipstick, seems to have liberals shaking in their boots every channel we turn to.
Here's a 'picture worth a thousand words'

Remember, the above the next time you're tempted to by a copy of US magazine.
Michelle Malkin reports that the following e-mail from former Clinton operative, Mark Neschis, went out to all media in St. Paul:
"Thought I would send over our Us Weekly/Sarah Palin cover story, on stands Friday, if helpful in your coverage. Might be useful as an illustration of how the news is playing out." (Us Weekly has 12 million, mostly female readers)
She also reminds us of Rolling Stones March Issue

So, you tell me, is there or is there not a liberal bias in the media?
You've heard the smears and attacks on Sarah Palin from the left, be they liberal commentators or feminists. Some of the attacks are indeed sexist such as this photo of Palin taken during a rally.
Some attack her experience, others attack her intelligence. To that end the following is very interesting...
An analysis of the grade-level of the two VP candidates' language used during Thursday night's debate was conducted by a language monitoring service, the Global Language Monitor, and reported by CNN.
While many opponents say Sarah Palin is not qualified to be vice president, and some have insinuated that she is not smart, survey results show not only that she won the debate, but CNN's analysis showed her language skills were higher than Joe Biden's.
As reported by CNN: Gov. Sarah Palin spoke at a more than ninth-grade level and Joseph Biden spoke at a nearly eighth-grade level in Thursday night's debate between the vice presidential candidates.
The two candidates were nearly even in total number of words spoken. The normally voluble Biden restrained his tendency to ramble by uttering just 5,492 words during the 90-minute debate, versus 5,235 for Palin.
Here's the breakdown:
Grade level: Biden, 7.8; Palin, 9.5 (Newspapers are typically written to a sixth-grade reading level).
Just shows how un-smart Palin's critics are!

There are few things that surprise me any more, but I have to admit, when I read that a website had been launched entitled 'ProLife Obama' I could hardly believe it. How could such a claim be made? By redefining the pro-life cause.
Why? Because Barack Obama is one of the most liberal Senators, and one of the most radical in his pro-abortion stance. He has said (promising Planned Parenthood) that the first thing he will do upon being election President is to pass the Freedom of Choice Act, which would virtually wipe out all current restrictions surrounding abortion.
